VANOC updates for 2007

VANOC and its partners are planning events in February and March to celebrate the three-year countdown to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

VANOC expects to conclude and announce approximately fice new sponsorship agreements in the first quarter of 2007. The Licenseing and Marchandise program will also continue to grow and VANOC anticipates announcing at least seven new licensees early in the year.Organizers anticipate final approval and public release of the updated business plan in early 2007. Olympic Accommodations

Currently Whistler has 2,254 hotel rooms. The target numbers required for the Olympics is currently 2,500 to 3,000 rooms, plus temporary media accommodations. The rest of the accommodations will be in Vancouver and the surrounding area. Whistler currently has 16 contracts in place for properties for a total of 2,254 rooms, including properties in Squamish. Whistler is also looking into secruing properties in Mt. Currie and Pemberton as well. It is a slower process to obtain in Whistler, due to some of hte hotel properties being strata properties. The Vancovuer Olympic Organizing Committee is about 90% complete in securing rooms in the Vancouver area. The
