WHISTLER, BC, December 16, 2006 – Whistler Blackcomb opened their new Symphony Express high speed detachable quad today for scores of eager skiers and riders. The new lift, accessing 1,000 acres of pristine alpine bowls and gladed sub-alpine forest filled with thigh deep snow, began turning shortly after 11am.

Neighborhoods: Black Tusk and Pinecrest

December 17th, 2006
BLACK TUSK and PINECREST

Black Tusk and Pinecrest are located approximately 15 minutes south of Whistler. These two neighborhoods offer affordable living close to Whistler. If you think Squmish is too far away and the heart of Whistler is too expensive this is the perfect place for you! Black Tusk and Pinecrest have their own community hall as well as a lakeside park and beach

Neighborhoods: Spring Creek

December 17th, 2006
SPRING CREEK

Spring Creek is one of Whistler's newest sub-divisions, located just past Function Junction when driving into Whistler. Spring Creek contains new single family houses and townhomes. There is an elementary school and daycare located in Spring Creek and well as many hiking trails.

Neighborhoods: Bayshores, Millar's Pond and Kadenwood

December 17th, 2006
BAYSHORES, MILLAR'S POND AND KADENWOOD

My personal favorite, mainly because Ross and I live here. This is a wonderful neighborhood with tennis courts, a park, trails and ski-in ski-out access. It is located just south of Creekside. Kadenwood is the newer development of the three. It was developed in 2002 and offers huge vacant lots and mansioin homes on the side of Whistler Mountain. This is a very friendly neighborhood where everyone knows their neighbors. Ross and I love living here!

Neighborhoods: Whistler Creekside

December 17th, 2006
WHISTLER CREEKSIDE

Whistler Creekside is the original main village in Whistler. Creekside is located at the bottom of the Dave Murray Downhill run. It is filled with hotels, shops, restaurants, single family homes, condos and townhouses. Houses is this sub-division are less expensive then homes in the new main village. There are two lakes: Nita and Alpha Lake, as well as parks, playgrounds and the valley trail which leads into the main village.

*The Dave Murray Run is going to be the site for the 2010 Olympic Alpine events, so this neighborhood is guarenteed to see plenty of action in the near future. This is an excellent time to invest in Creekside.

Neighborhoods: Nordic and Taluswood

December 17th, 2006
NORDIC AND TALUSWOOD

Nordic and Taluswood are located on the side of Whistler Mountain just past Creekside. This sub-division is mainly filled with upscale homes that offer ski-in/ski-out. Homes in these sub-divisions will have a front row seat for the 2010 Olympics Games as they are situated right on the Dave Murray Downhill.

Neighborhoods: Alta Vista

December 17th, 2006
ALTA VISTA

Alta Vista is located on Alta Lake. Most homes in this sub-division have views of Alta Lake and some even have direct access to the lake with backyard docks. This is an older neighborhood with many of Whistler's original A-frame homes. There is also a public beach and park located in Alta Vista.

Neighborhoods: Blueberry Hill

December 17th, 2006
BLUEBERRY HILL

Blueberry Hill is located just south of the main Village in Whistler and is full of high-end luxury homes. Most homes have views of the Whistler Golf Course and of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain.

Neighborhoods: Brio and Sunrdige Plateau

December 17th, 2006
BRIO AND SUNRIDGE PLATEAU

Brio and Sunridge Plateau are both within walking distance to the main Village (approx a 5 min walk). Sunridge Plateau is the newer development of the two. Brio is generally a bit less expensive than homes in Sunridge Plateau. Sunridge Plateau offers ski-in/ski-out access to most of its homes.
